Evidências de validade da Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale: revisão integrativa

Resumo

A prevalência de transtornos mentais comuns, incluindo depressão, transtorno de estresse pós-traumático, transtorno obsessivo-compulsivo e uma variedade de transtornos de ansiedade, são uma grande causa de doenças em todo o mundo, tanto em países ricos quanto nos mais pobres. O objetivo foi identificar as evidências de validade da Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale testada em puérperas. Pesquisa bibliográfica do tipo revisão integrativa, que utilizou a estratégia PICO para construção da pergunta: Quais são as evidências de validade disponíveis do instrumento Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale em puérperas? As bases de dados pesquisadas foram: PubMed, CINAHL, Embase, Scielo Org. e SCOPUS. A triagem utilizou Rayyan, seguindo o fluxograma PRISMA 2020. As buscas foram realizadas de outubro a novembro de 2022. Com base nos critérios de inclusão foram selecionados 17 estudos para a síntese analítica. A Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale é amplamente reconhecida como o padrão ouro para a detecção da depressão pós-parto em mulheres no mundo todo. Esse instrumento permite identificar o risco de depressão através de diferentes pontuações. Entender como a Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale funciona e quais são seus limites é essencial para utilizá-la de forma eficaz em diferentes contextos, garantindo uma triagem precisa e a identificação precoce de casos que necessitam de acompanhamento especializado.
