Ethical Standards
The act of publishing involves the editorial team, authors, and reviewers, with the need for everyone involved to comply with the ethical standards expected at all stages of their involvement, from submission to publication.
In this sense, the O Mundo da Saúde magazine is committed to meeting and maintaining standards of ethical behavior at all stages of the publication process. We follow the Council of Science Editors (CSE), which has set standards and provided best practice guidelines to meet these requirements, with respect to: monitoring/safeguarding editorial ethics by the Editorial Board; using rules to retract articles; maintaining the integrity of academic records; preventing business needs from compromising intellectual and ethical standards; always being willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies, when necessary; prohibiting any form of plagiarism and/or transmission of fraudulent data.
Thus, the Editor-in-Chief, the Associate Editors, and the Editorial Board work to: guarantee the needs of readers and authors, as well as the quality of the material they publish; maintain the integrity of academic records; guarantee intellectual standards; and always be willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies in implementing the Best Practice Guidelines in Publication Ethics.
