Abstract

Ethics and bioethical teaching in the medical course has been a reason for intense debates in recent years. This fact is motivated
by changes that have been occurring in social, cultural, economic, technologic and political fields. It is now crucial to characterize
ethical education of medical professionals because ethics is essential to their daily work, as well as in the relationship with patients and
their families and the community as a whole. The Twenty-first century requires professionals qualified to take prudent decisions before
moral dilemmas regarding human health. The central intention of this essay is to discuss alternatives for ethics and bioethics teaching
in medical courses.
