This article aims to discuss activities done by a boy with deficiencies during the process of occupational therapy, seeing
these as singular cultural productions and expression of subjectivity. For doing this, in a research in which the fields of subjectivity and
symbolism are present, this article has used material of the clinical experience with children who have deficiencies from the reading of
medical registries and observation logs from experiences lived by the therapist in a field diary. We identified the possibility of a reflection
on the consideration of the productions of children as cultural artifacts that may enhance children recognition and their active
participation in the shared reality.
