The time of spirituality

Abstract

The return to spirituality appears as a new trend in the 1990s: to spirituality is reserved a place to home economy. This
article will try to present some philosophical reflections on the notion of spirituality, beginning with a general notion of spirit and then
considering the contributions of authors such as Hannah Arendt, Henri Bergson, and Emmanuel Lévinas for the discussion of this subject.
Spirituality will this way turn out to be the moment of being at leisure, that is, as the trend that impels us to slow down, the trend to
reserve time for the other. It is therefore a self-abandonment or the self-giving moment.
