Abstract

The present article aims to deepen the debate of ethical questions related to the process of revision of the Brazilian Code of
Medical Ethics, following an approach having two dimensions: ethical questions linked to end of life and ethical questions implied by
the interface medicine-spirituality. This reflexive research has as starting points the study of the historical tradition of Brazilian medical
ethics as made explicit in the codes and a comparative ethical reading of codes of ethics incorporated by medicine in some countries,
mainly up to the present decade.
