Abstract

Currently, day-care centers and daily pre-schools are important socio-educative devices for a good infantile quality of
life. The objective of this study is to identify necessities of children and their families through medical histories of preschool children
registered in the Day-care center Creche Bom Jesus in Diamantina-MG. These descriptions, elaborated and collected by the team of the
Extension Program “Nursing in a Day-care Center” of the Department of Nursing of Federal University of the Vale do Jequitinhonha
and Mucuri-UFVJM. Results show the reality in health of children and their families, offering information for making an action plan in
health to be developed in the day-care center.
