This work had as its aim to emphasize the efficacy of physiotherapy in the rehabilitation of women treated of breast cancer
by surgery, essential both in prevention and treatment of common after-surgery complications, and both in recovering self-esteem and
an active physical image. The research consists in a literature survey which privileged breast cancer and surgery, post-surgery complications
such as lymphedema and the reduction of shoulder movements, as well as the rehabilitation of these women, valuing group work,
which provides sharing experiences and encouragement for recovering.
