Exotic species are a world’s exponential problem, being one the main causes of environmental and biodiversity alterations.
The introduction of exotic species is typically linked to activities of socioeconomic relevance. Invasion consequences have ecological,
economic and sanitary components, and these components sometimes operate synergistically. The present work record Litopenaeus
vannamei presence in several areas of Cananéia, Iguape and Ilha Comprida estuary. To evaluate L. vannamei presence on fishing activities
of Farfantepenaeus paulensis, F. brasiliensis and Litopenaeus schmitti, 11 samples with gerival net were examined from March
to December 2005. 41 individuals of L. vannamei species had been captured with average sizes and weights of 10,25 (±5,34) cm and
10,27 (±3,89) g respectively
