The objective of this study was to analyze the ethical aspects that permeate the quality of nursing care in a Diagnostic Medicine
(MD) institution, based on the Donabedian model formed by structure, process and outcome dimensions. The study
was conducted in a MD company in the state of São Paulo, with 23 service units. The population consisted of 203 subjects
and data were collected through a questionnaire consisting of a Likert scale analyzed statistically using Cronbach’s
alpha. Regarding the structure dimension, higher favorability was perceived related to user privacy in procedures; in the
process, with respect to the confidentiality of user information; and, as a result, in the reception received by users. This
study established the relationship between quality of nursing care and the ethical aspects involved in meeting the needs
and expectations of users of the health service studied.
