Abstract

To identify the activities performed by preceptors of the Hospital das Clínicas Nursing Residency Program in Pernambuco. A descriptive-exploratory and quantitative study. In the data collection, a questionnaire was used with 16 questions based on the resolution of the National Commission for Multiprofessional Residency in Health. The sample consisted of 36 preceptors in nursing and the Chi-square test was used to analyze the results. It was verified that among the preceptors: 89% are female, 11% presented a master’s degree. The associations verified were the titles of the preceptor and the time of service in the institution (p = 0.008), participation in the theoretical-practical plan (p = 0.029) and accompanied by a resident of another category (p = 0.007). In the preceptorial activities, this professional is not very involved with the planning of the actions to be carried out and as well as in the understanding of the activities and functions of the Pedagogical Project of the Residency program.
